E-Bee is free to educators

Will The Fresno Bee’s Newspapers in Education program cost the school or me any money?
No! The Bee’s Newspapers in Education is a non-profit organization supported by donations, grants and fundraising. Free E-Bee editions and curriculum are available to a limited amount of teachers per program, depending upon what the sponsors have provided. If the grant has run out and you still wish to order papers, they are available at a very low educational rate.

What is the maximum amount of E-Bee editions I can order?
You may order as many as you need for your class or qualified literacy program.

What is the minimum amount of E-Bee editions I can order?
Our minimum order is 10 editions/licenses per day.

How many days of the week can I order E-Bee?
Class sets of E-Bee include Monday through Sunday access.

Is this program just for schools?
No. If you have a qualified literacy program off campus, such as a library, or if you have a qualified literacy program for adults, you may use this program.

What grade levels can receive E-Bee?
All grades K-12 and any qualified adult literacy program.

Are there any administrative procedures I need to follow after I start receiving access to E-Bee?
You will receive an affidavit every time you place an order. It will show the amount of total E-Bee editions/licenses you received for the time period. The affidavit needs to be signed and sent back to us by mail, fax or return online.

Who do I contact if I have difficulty accessing E-Bee?
If you have any problems with your E-Bee subscription, please contact Kelley Arakelian, NIE manager, at (559) 441-6429 or 1-800-877-3400, ext. 6429.

Do you have any curriculum that is available for use?
Yes. We have curriculum available for all ages. See New Curriculum and Free Curriculum as well as 100 Ways to Use The Bee. We also encourage middle and high school teachers to use curriculum from www.paradeclassroom.com. Excellent weekly curriculum for older age students can be found and downloaded from their Web site.
